Been back in Sydney exactly 6 hours and I’m straight onto the boat to stick the first Saturday Yacht Social Club for the year. For this one, I’ll be spinning B2B Mo’funk!
I think this is my 6th or 7th season playing for The Yacht Social Club, usually DJing alongside Edseven under the ‘Soul of Sydney DJs’ banner. So good to see it grow into one of the best-known summer harbour parties in Sydney.
If you’ve never been, it’s an awesome setup - all the boats head out onto the harbour, raft up in a big circle and we stick down the House n disco funk beats for the entire day.
For this one I’m throwing down the tunes with local legend, Mo’funk as it’s offseason in Ibiza - he’s usually doing the whole Carl Cox, Space thing. We usually wing the DJ sets, play around 30-45 mins each at a time, then swap and take a dip in the ocean between sets! Great format and keeps it fun and the crowd guessing.
