About Afro Moses
Our special guest is a true living legend of the West African music scene. Born in Ghana, he hit the charts as a teenager as “the African James Brown,” and after being signed by Bob Marley’s tour manager he’s toured the world with his high-energy live shows — sharing stages with Michael Franti & Spearhead, Youssou N’Dour, Miriam Makeba, Salif Keita, Ziggy & Rita Marley and The Wailers along the way.
Now based in Australia, he’s spent over twenty years bringing the rhythm, dance and music of West Africa to local audiences — a live show fusing afrobeat, reggae, roots, funk and Latin with traditional African rhythms. Catch the full band around 6pm as part of the Soul of Sydney afternoon programming.
Come say hello and enjoy the music if you’re around.
