If you haven’t heard of The My Tys, i strongly suggest you check them out. A young high-energy 10 piece Ska/Funk band doing the rounds in the Sydney circuit and also interstate. I was fortunate enough to get a call from one of their guitarists,Gibran Haydar who also happens to be a long lost primary school friend I hadn’t seen since I was 10 years old! We teed it up and I spun the funk and grooves in between and after their sets.
Looking forward to playing along side them again. Blue Beat is also a really classy live music venue recently opened up in Double Bay in the east of Sydney.
